Sean Started his career as floor staff in a very busy nightclub in Liverpool City centre, with hard work and dedication he quickly moved onto the bar and continued to blossom. Sean spent five years with this company moving his way up to become bar manager of a site with five bars. Then came the opportunity to move to Abu Dhabi, U.A.E to work with Rosewood Hotels and after a short while his talents where sought after by Michelin starred chef Jason Atherton to take a positon at Marina Social Dubai. It was not too long before an offer came that could not be refused, to open the Gold on 27 bar situated at the top of the 7* hotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai, where he spent one and a half years developing his trade and trying to push the bar onto the global stage. Once again his talents was recognised as Lebua Hotels & Resorts in Bangkok offered him the change to take up the reins as their Head Of Mixology looking after multiple 5* venues and even being sent to Frankfurt to open up a sister restaurant. After Frankfurt and returning to Bangkok Sean felt as if something was missing and after flying on vacation to Hanoi and meeting with the owners of Kumquat Tree, he and the owners both fell in love with their combined vision and Sean was on a plane one month later to take over operations at Kumquat Tree. The aim is now to be the first bar from Vietnam to feature on Asia's 50 best bars, this is to be achieved by "Genuine hospitality and love for the industry, great drinks with great value for money, building a great team, building a great atmosphere and enjoyed the experience." Sean is spear heading this goal whilst also in the process of setting up his own company and opening his first bar.
